Massage Therapy
These sessions are a great way to treat your full body to relax tension, relieve stress, and feel amazing. If you're used to terms like Swedish Massage, Relaxation Massage, or Deep Tissue Massage, this is the option you should choose. We'll talk before your session to discuss your goals and decide pressure, style, and focus areas so you get the perfect massage to address your needs. This type of massage is best done fully undressed to allow the flowing movements to have the best effects of full body reintegration. You will be under sheets and only the areas currently being massaged will be uncovered. If you aren't comfortable being fully undressed under the sheets, you are welcome to undress to whatever level feels safe.
“I’ve been going to [Eren] for years now. [They are] so thorough, and can target muscles in surprising ways! Even if you don’t know how to describe the pain you’re in and what you need, [they figure] it out. I come in as an anxious stress ball, and always leave feeling weightless and totally satisfied.”
- Joscelyn G.
“Having a history with anxiety and stress, [Eren's] intricate relaxation massage has absolutely changed my lifestyle and ability to function on a day-to-day basis! [They are] able to incorporate a very individualized session using many techniques to fit any specific need. [Their] full body sessions include the front of the body as well, and you can even choose to include breast massage to help every part of the body relax and truly work as one unit. I have never had a massage therapist work to my specific needs as [Eren] does to truly decompress, heal, and relax the body!”
- Natalie S.
“Massage therapy sessions with [Eren] have been a critical component of my physical and emotional healing. After sessions, I have more energy, am more centered, and am better equipped to navigate my busy life. My quality of life has increased greatly, since I started as [Eren]’s client.”
- Ashley S.
Treatment Massage & Advanced Manual Therapy
These sessions are done partially clothed (ideally something like loose shorts and a tank top - no bra or other tight clothing) and without any oil. This allows us to change positions easily as we incorporate advanced manual therapy techniques to address the issues that are causing you pain or decreased function.
The techniques are aimed at interacting with the nervous system to help reduce pain and tension, and increase healthy movement. Because of the precision and specificity, treatments are able to remain gentle and comfortable.
“As a two-sport collegiate varsity athlete in soccer and basketball and striving for the junior Olympics in horse riding, my body has gone through the most extreme circumstances and has suffered many injuries. [Eren] was able to pinpoint my injuries and alleviate almost all of my pains within two sessions. [They have] the upmost respect, care, and knowledge in [their] work and will absolutely leave your body feeling its best. I have worked with many massage therapists, but none have rivaled [their] work.”
- Elizabeth S.
“I used to get horrible back spasms and have gone to multiple physical therapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists over the years. Since [Eren] has become my massage therapist, my back spasms have totally subsided. The quality of my life has increased 100%! I can’t say enough good things about what [they have] done for my entire physical and psychological well-being. [They treat] the whole person and not just body parts. I could not recommend [them] more highly. [They are] simply the best around because [their] empathy and skill level is second to none.”
- Myron E.
“I suffered a debilitating injury at work, and after weeks of medicines, physical therapy and chiropractic adjustments, I was finally referred for massage. Having been to [Eren] before for relaxing massages, I sought [them] out for treatment. After one visit, my muscles finally started to heal. Through [their] techniques I made a full recovery.”

Prenatal Massage Therapy
Many pregnant clients (and even quite a few massage therapists) worry that the body becomes fragile and vulnerable during pregnancy, and this simply isn't true! In fact, regular massage during pregnancy can contribute to shorter and easier labor, fewer complications, healthier babies, and shorter hospital stays.
Abdominal Massage
I include abdominal massage in almost all of my full body sessions, prenatal sessions included. Throughout pregnancy I use abdominal massage to relieve discomfort from sore abdominal muscles and tight skin and to help establish/strengthen the mental/emotional link between you and your baby. Also, it feels really good, and your baby loves it too! Once the baby is developed enough, we can often feel the baby adjusting position and pushing their back up against the surface to feel the massage better.
Foot Massage/Pressure Points
Many clients (and again, quite a few therapists), have heard about pressure points in the feet and hands that can stimulate the uterus, causing preterm labor. This is a very frightening concept! But thankfully, it's not very accurate. While there are pressure points in those areas that can be used to stimulate the uterus, and they can even be used to help induce labor, they won't cause a labor to start that isn't ready. Even when labor is your goal, pressure on these points must be very intentional, deep, and sustained. Feet get sore during pregnancy, and it's perfectly safe to have them massaged.
Side-lying Massage
Prenatal massage is very similar to "regular" massage, but once the belly grows too large to be comfortable laying face down (usually by the end of the first trimester, if not sooner), we switch to side-lying massage supported with pillows. It's a very comfortable position, and many clients have been able to replicate it at home and finally sleep a full night, pain free.
Prenatal Massage Schedule
Assuming there are no injuries or major imbalances we're focusing on, my recommended schedule for prenatal massage is once per month for the first trimester, twice per month for the second and third trimesters, and once per week for the last month of pregnancy. This schedule works well for most of my clients and helps to maintain comfort, improve physical and emotional health, and reduce stress and anxiety throughout the pregnancy. You can, of course, come at any interval that is best for you and your situation. This schedule is only a guide.
Postpartum Massage
It can be difficult to schedule time to take care of yourself after having a baby, but it is so important! Many clients ask how soon after giving birth they are able to receive another massage, and (barring any medical issues) there really isn't a time that would be too soon. As soon as you are physically able to come, you can come. If you need to bring your baby, you can hold them on the table with you during the session. If you need to bring a caregiver with you to watch the baby, that's fine too. They can even stay in the room with us if that makes you more comfortable. The most important thing is to take care of yourself and get a massage. We can make adjustments around any obstacles that might come up.
“My first pregnancy massage with [Eren] was the first time I felt comfortable in weeks! [They] surround me with pillows and asks every time I change positions to make sure I'm still comfortable. I've been going every couple weeks and I always feel so relaxed after. I wish I had done this during my other pregnancies!”
- Melissa F.
“I went to a few different massage therapists earlier in my pregnancy, and they were ok, but then a friend referred me to [Eren]. What a difference! The other therapists massaged me so timidly, but [Eren] uses the perfect amount of pressure every time! I love that [they] include belly and chest massage, my growing belly feels like it's pulling me down in front and massage helps open me back up. I don't know how I would have made it through my pregnancy without regular massage from [Eren]. I'm not pregnant anymore, but I still go back as often as I can because it helps me feel more relaxed and able to take care of my family.”

Breast Massage
Most of my clients choose to incorporate massage of the entire chest and breasts (if applicable). This is an option which is only available from massage therapists who have additional breast-specific massage training (like me!). Unlike the other items on this page, it is not a standalone treatment, but rather something that can be included within the context of any Massage Therapy or Treatment Massage session.
Why Chest/Breast Massage?
Most people have poor posture and slouch forward, causing shortness in the muscles in the chest, which causes tension that pulls on the muscles in the back. This makes the chest one of the most important areas of your body to treat. Massage in this area can help to reduce chest, back, neck, and shoulder pain, as well as lead to improvements in posture, movement, circulation, breathing, and relaxation. Including massage in this area also makes a full body massage more integrative and wholistic. There are many breast-specific reasons for massage as well, including general breast health, cycle-related tenderness, and changes during pregnancy and lactation.
Massage in this, or any other, area is always optional and will only be included, regardless of gender, after reviewing and signing a Breast Massage Consent Form. If you have further questions, please ask!
“I sought [Eren] out specifically for Breast Massage. I had been experiencing shoulder pain for over 6 months and had tried many other services without significant improvement. After the first session with [Eren] I had immediate relief! The service was explained in detail and I felt comfortable and safe during the massage.”
- Jackie C.
“I was hesitant at first of the breast massage, simply because I’d never heard of it or had experience with it before. However, I decided to give it a go as part of the full body massage package and I’m glad that I did. As a woman, the massage really does make your chest feel looser and the area around the breasts loosens afterwards. Bras don’t seem to feel as constraining as they did for a week or two after. I’ve also noticed that I’ve been able to push myself physically farther in my workouts and in my yoga practice since doing it and I fully recommend at least giving it a try.”
- Kelly T.
“My first experience with breast massage was with [Eren]. [They] made me feel so comfortable before my massage during the explanation of the consent form and during the actual massage. The breast massage targeted scar tissue I have under my breast and chronic shoulder pain. After each massage I feel immense relief in both areas.”

Visceral Manipulation
Visceral manipulation is a method of bodywork that focuses on interacting with the internal organs, and it can be very beneficial when dealing with digestive and other organ-specific conditions. At it's core, the effectiveness of any technique is dependent upon the interaction it has with the nervous system, and visceral manipulation is an incredibly precise and specific way to do this. At the foundation of visceral manipulation is the idea that the body is capable of healing itself, but sometimes due to trauma, sickness, sedentary lifestyles, etc. our bodies become less efficient in this regard. Instead of a therapist trying to "fix you," we are "waking up" the organs and their movement patterns to give the body the space it needs to restore itself. This is true for organ health as well as any other pain or dysfunction in the body.
Treatment
We always follow the lines of tension in the body and treat with the greatest restriction first, even if it seems unrelated to your issue. Often times the body compensates for a loss of mobility in one area by moving differently in another area. The immobile part might not hurt at all, while the created compensation might seem very painful. In this situation, it is necessary to treat the immobilized area in order to have a real and lasting effect on the painful area.
When we know where we will be focusing, we use gentle pressure to assist the organ in strengthening it's own movement pattern, or to help mobilize areas that have become restricted. As the organ mobility and motility improve, the nervous system will continue to incorporate the changes over the next several days.
Number of Sessions
The number of sessions you need can vary greatly depending on your goals, your condition(s), and your overall health. Three to five sessions (one session every three weeks) is typical for clients to experience significant improvement, but some more complicated or chronic conditions may require more, and sometimes there are big improvements after just one session. Some clients choose to continue treatment on an ongoing basis because they have found it to be helpful and the sessions are very relaxing.
“[Eren] was recommended to me by my massage therapist after a conversation about how trauma can be stored in the body. I was unfamiliar with Visceral Manipulation, but have long been a believer in the healing nature of massage.
Twenty years ago I experienced a traumatic birth that resulted in a stillborn baby, damage to my pelvic floor and a prolapsed uterus. I had been celibate for approximately 5 years and was apprehensive about having sexual relations because of the feelings that might surface.
[Eren] suggested a treatment plan of visceral manipulation every 3 to 4 weeks. I received treatment for about 6 months. The ways that this improved my life cannot be understated.
[Eren] is a truly gifted and extremely skilled therapist. I found it amazing that such subtle movements could be so powerful. From the very first session I was hooked. [Eren] was able to help me release many layers of grief and shame that I was not aware were even there. Feeling these strong emotions in a safe environment and releasing them was in my opinion vastly more valuable than talk therapy.
In addition to the release of stuck emotions, my digestion improved as well as an overall feeling of well-being.
Some of the more tangible results of this therapy are that I am more comfortable with my body. I have been able to visit the gynecologist, something I could not do for 10 years. I have been able to engage in a sexual relationship without fear, something I haven't been able to do for over five years.
I am extremely grateful to [Eren] for the work that [they do] and would recommend [them] to anyone.”

Intraoral Massage Therapy
To put it simply, intraoral massage is massage that takes place inside the mouth. Using a medical exam glove, one finger addresses the muscles in your mouth to treat TMJ conditions and other tension and/or pain in your jaw, face, head, or neck. This is also very effective at reducing whiplash symptoms, teeth grinding or clenching, and jaw clicking or popping. This treatment is sometimes done by itself, and sometimes as part of a larger treatment session. If you're scheduling online, choose "Treatment Massage" and mention intraoral work in the appointment notes.
“After suffering a concussion and whiplash, intraoral massage by [Eren] was key to unlocking relief from headaches and neck pain. Even without an injury, it is incredibly relieving to soften this tension we carry around in our face and jaw.”
- Maura R.
Kinesio Taping®
Kinesio Taping® is a therapeutic taping technique that can be used to assist weak muscles, relax tight muscles, improve range of motion, correct postural deviations, increase circulation, and reduce inflammation.
Not Just For Athletes
Many people have seen Kinesio Tape® on athletes in the Olympics, but Kinesio Tape® is an incredibly versatile modality and can be helpful for all types of people and activity levels. It might be a good option for you if you: are an athlete, work at a desk, have a physically demanding job, drive a lot, are pregnant or the parent of a baby or young child, are a child, have been in a car accident, have been injured or have an area of swelling, have a hard time maintaining good posture, and many more conditions and situations.
How It Works
Kinesio Tape® is a thin cotton material designed to mimic the thickness and elasticity of human skin and connective tissue. The back is coated with a heat-activated hypoallergenic medical-grade acrylic adhesive, applied in a wave pattern (like a very large fingerprint).
The Kinesio Tape® stimulates the nerves in the connective tissues and muscles, which helps the muscles function in a healthier, more efficient way. The shape of the tape, where it is put on, the direction the tension is applied, and how much tension is in the tape will affect the tape's function and produce different results.
The tape also has a lifting effect on the skin which increases local circulation, and can be directed to improve lymphatic drainage, which can speed injury recovery and reduce swelling and bruising.
The tape can stay on for about a week. It is waterproof and you can shower and swim with it.
“I still don't completely understand it, but this tape is like magic. I had an old shoulder injury that had never fully gone away, but after having it taped a few times it isn't bothering me at all! Each time [Eren] taped it a little different because the injury was changing as it got better. I still can't believe what a big difference a few pieces of colored tape made!”

Reiki
Reiki is a very gentle modality that encourages relaxation, stress relief, and healing. If you've never experienced Reiki before, it can be a little hard to understand, and also to explain.
Energetic Model of Reiki
Reiki is usually described as a hands on energy medicine technique that was developed in Japan and brought to the west in the 1930s. The basic concept is that there is a universal (or life force) energy that is in us and all around us. A Reiki practitioner can direct that energy to flow more freely and abundantly in their client to bring about relaxation, stress relief, and/or euphoria.
Psychological Model of Reiki
Some people prefer the psychological model of explaining Reiki over the energetic model described above. In this model, you could say we are using the session, the setting, and the placement of hands, combined with the neural and hormonal stimulation from touch, as tools of focus for, and communication with, the subconscious to bring about those same states of relaxation, stress relief, and/or euphoria. In the same way that a sugar pill stimulates the subconscious to create real healing and change through the aesthetic of the medical model, you could say Reiki stimulates the subconscious to create real healing and change through the aesthetic of the energetic model.
I have no agenda to convince anybody one way or the other, and the best part is, it doesn't matter which model you resonate with, or if you feel like it's a mix of both, or even if you see it as something entirely different (like a spiritual model, for instance). You can still benefit from Reiki as long as you commit to the session with an open mind.
